The King of the Wing: Chicken George is In Charge!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the reigning heavyweights of British fried chicken, Chicken George, are joining the MK Weekender family!
From humble beginnings to national dominance, the “Chicken Boss” is bringing a legacy of flavour that has been decades in the making. This isn’t just food; it’s a masterclass in the fried chicken game.

From Luton Roots to National Glory

The story began in the 70s with George Cheah aka “The Boss,” who brought his unique American-style fried chicken to Luton in 1985. Fast forward to 2015, when George handed the reigns to his son, Chris Cheah.

Chris—a chef trained in some of the UK’s most elite kitchens—fused fine-dining precision with his father’s legendary recipes. The result? Total industry takeover.

The Trophy Cabinet

When we say “Best in Class,” we mean it. Chicken George doesn’t just compete; they win:
• Best Takeaway in Britain: Beating out 35,000 competitors at the Just Eat Awards.
• Wing Fest Champions: Sweeping the board at Europe’s biggest wing festival alongside The Ribman.
• Award-Winning Heritage: Multiple titles at Wing Jam and beyond.
